- Three students from Southington have been named to the fall 2018 Dean's List at Clemson University. They are: Kamryn Lee Cochrane, who is majoring in Pre-Business; Michael Joseph Allen, who is majoring in Financial Management; and Jeremy Adam Spooner, who is majoring in Computer Engineering. To be named to the Dean's List, a student achieved a grade-point average between 3.50 and 3.99 on a 4.0 scale.

- Ten Springfield College students from Southington were named to the Dean's List for academic excellence for the fall 2018 term: Matthew Koczera, studying Applied Exercise Science; Bao-Anh Nguyen, studying Art Therapy; Delaney Picard, studying Health Science and Pre-Physical Therapy; Rachel Williams, studying Health Science and Pre-Physical Therapy; Jillian Noli, studying Health Science/Occupational Therapy; Matthew Briscoe, studying Health Science/Pre-physician Assistant; McKenzie Pelletier, studying Health Science/Pre-physician Assistant; Brendon Egan, studying Health Science; Sarah Leahy, studying Mathematics; and Erin Martin, studying Sociology. Criteria for selection to the dean's list requires that the student must have a minimum grade point average of 3.500 for the semester.

- Fifteen students from Southington have been named to the University of Saint Joseph Dean’s List for the fall 2018 semester. They are Carolyn Callahan, Bailey Carter, Kira Dethlefsen, Rachael DiBenedetto, Savanna Gilbert, Jennifer Koczon, Stephanie Krar, Sarah Lew, Amber Lewis, Alessandra Milardo, Dillon O’Keefe, Sarah Palko, Dalia Robel, Isabella Russo and Alexa Taylor. Students who are awarded this academic achievement have earned a GPA of 3.50 or higher for the semester, with no grade lower than a “B.”
