Bryant University, Smithfield RI

  • Bryant University is pleased to recognize the students who have been named to the President's List for the spring 2019 semester. The President's List is an academic distinction reserved for Bryant's highest achievers who earn a GPA of 4.0 or better for at least 12 semester hours of work. Making the list from Southington were Ryan Fryer, class of 2019; Harrison Garrett, class of 2019; and Matthew Steeves, class of 2019.

  • Goodwin College announces that 992 students achieved Dean's List status for the spring 2019 session. Southington residents making the list were Christopher Dahlgren, Justyna Kazimierczyk, Sarah Lord, Amanda Seamon, Jasmine Wright, Ali Azhar, Nicole Carrier, Nathaniel Foulk, Meghan Garofalo, Alyssa Gemmell, Alicia Karwowski, Alyssa Kizilski, Briana LaMonte, Danielle Makles, Lynette Pieta, Cassandra Rotondo, Kathryn Sikoski and Daniel Woods.

Springfield College, Springfield MA

  • At the undergraduate commencement on May 19, 695 bachelor's degrees were awarded. Including the degrees awarded at the graduate ceremony on May 18, a total of 1,265 degrees were awarded over the two days. At the graduate commencement, 522 master's degrees, one certificate of advanced graduate study, five Doctor of Philosophy degrees, 36 Doctor of Physical Therapy degrees, and six Doctor of Psychology degrees were awarded. Graduates from Southington were Matthew Briscoe, bachelor's of science degree in Health Science Pre-Physician Assistant; McKenzie Pelletier, bachelor's of science degree in Health Science Pre-Physician Assistant; Sarah Leahy, bachelor's of science degree in Mathematics; Nicole Dietzel, master's of science degree in Physician Assistant; and Erin Martin, bachelor's of science degree in Sociology.
  • Springfield College has named the following students from Southington to the Dean's List for academic excellence for the 2019 spring semester. Criteria for selection to the dean's list requires that the student must have a minimum semester grade point average of 3.500 for the semester.
