SOUTHINGTON, CT — There's nothing quite like a hot cup of hot chocolate on a cold, winter day.

And the Southington Police Department is looking to provide that soothing comfort drink at an event Saturday, Jan. 14, that will not only warm folks' insides, but provide inside info on the ins and outs of the police department.

The SPD is hosting "Cocoa With A Cop" from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the "Mission BBQ" restaurant at 785 Queen St.

At the event, conversation will be light and it will provide an opportunity for the community to learn who the men and women charged with protecting them are.
