Community Rallying Behind Southington 9-Year-Old Hurt in Crash
The community is rallying behind a 9-year-old from Southington who sustained serious injuries in a head-on crash with a GoFundMe page.
SOUTHINGTON. CT — The community is rallying behind a 9-year-old from Southington who sustained serious injuries in a head-on crash on Route 177 in Farmington on Sept. 23.
A GoFundMe page has been set up to raise funds for Lucia Perez. Jose Perez said the money will be used to offset medical bills and costs incurred by family members traveling to and from the hospital.
Lucia was transported to Connecticut Children's Medical Center via Life Star helicopter after the crash. See the details here.

The page was created Sunday and as of late Monday night, $5,290 had been pledged. The goal was $1,500.
