POSTPONED: Connecticut Center for Healthy Aging presents dementia and caregiving series in Meriden

MERIDEN – Caring for someone with dementia or Alzheimer’s disease is not an easy task. A free five-week series provides strategies and effective communication tips to better understand and relate to the individual with memory loss. The Connecticut Center for Healthy Aging will sponsor “Dementia and Caregiving: Focusing on the Person while Understanding the Disease Progression,” at MidState Medical Center, East Campus, 61 Pomeroy Ave.

The sessions will be held Tuesdays, May 31 to June 28, from 10:30 a.m. to noon. Connecticut Center for Healthy Aging dementia and Alzheimer’s specialists Patty O’Brian, CDP, and Michelle Wyman, LSW, CDP, will lead the series. To best benefit, participants are asked to attend all sessions.
