Construction Prompting Road Closure in Southington
Southington police have announced detours.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — Police have announced a road closure because of construction.
On Thursday and Friday, D’Amico Construction will be working on Loper Street in the area of a new subdivision between Queen Street (state Route 10) and Annelise Avenue, police said. Police said as a result, a section of Loper Street will be closed to thru-traffic between the hours of 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.
Thru-traffic from Queen Street will be detoured to Flanders Street, to Annelise Avenue and back onto Loper Street, police said.

Thru- traffic from Pleasant Street/Loper Street will be detoured to Annelise Avenue, to Flanders Street and back onto Queen Street, police said.
School Buses will not be affected and will be allowed to pass through the construction area and affected residents will be allowed to access their homes at any time, police said.

Businesses will remain open and access to the businesses will not be affected, police said.
