Update: Crash Closes Section of I-84 in Southington Thursday
Breaking: State police said the crash is being investigated.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — State police said a section of Interstate-84 is closed Thursday morning because of a motor vehicle crash.
The crash took place on the Westbound side of the highway at about 9:05 a.m, state police said.
State police said the crash involves life-threatening injuries and Life Star helicopter has been dispatched to the scene. Three vehicles were involved in the crash and two people were taken to area hospitals via the helicopter and an ambulance, state police said.

One of the vehicles stuck in traffic was a summer school bus, according to a state Department of Transportation traffic cam image.
The road was still closed at 1 p.m., according to the syaye Department of Transportation.

State police said they were at the scene investigating the cause.
