Update: Crash On I-84 In Southington Cleared

SOUTHINGTON, CT — Interstate 84 in Southington is somewhat of a mess after a one-vehicle accident Friday afternoon, but it was quickly cleared.

According to the state Department of Transportation, the crash happened in the westbound side of I-84 between exits 31 and 30.

The accident was reported at 1:38 p.m., resulting in the right shoulder being closed.

State officials said via Twitter that the accident was cleared by 2:20 p.m.
