CT Animal Rights Group To Host Major Fundraiser In Southington

The Desmond's Army fundraiser returns this weekend in Southington with music, raffles, and food to support animal cruelty advocacy.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — Residents statewide will have a chance this weekend to support animal cruelty advocacy efforts as Desmond's Army Animal Law Advocates hosts its 7th Annual “Desmond’s Legacy” fundraiser in Southington.

The event is scheduled for Sunday, April 12, from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Cadillac Ranch Restaurant, 45 Jude Lane, Southington.

General admission tickets are priced at about $35.

Organizers say the fundraiser will feature live music, raffles, a food buffet with a range of options, a cash bar, and games and prizes.

Desmond’s Army, a Winsted-based nonprofit, advocates for stronger animal protection laws and works to support investigations and prosecutions in animal cruelty cases across Connecticut.

Proceeds from the event will go toward advancing those efforts, including legislative advocacy and case support work.
