Dealing with Loss Later in Life
bereavement, grief, loss, depression, sadness, Rushford, seasonal affective disorder

BRISTOL - One of the worst experiences in life is the death of a spouse or significant loved one. Other losses may include work, health, home, independence and/or socialization. Grief is a normal, healthy response to loss. However, long-term feelings of grief might actually be signs of depression.
To learn about coping and depression, the free program, Loss Later in Life, will be held Wednesday, Oct. 25, 10:30 a.m., at Bristol Senior Center, 240 Stafford Ave. Presenter Mary Pat Daniels, LCSW, Rushford behavioral health services, will lead the discussion about how to sort out and cope with the many emotions. Hartford HealthCare Senior Services is sponsoring the event.
Space is limited. To register, call the Bristol Senior Center, 860.584.7895.
