Dementia and Caregiving Series: Focusing on the Person While Understanding the Disease Progression

BERLIN - Caring for someone with dementia or Alzheimer’s disease is not an easy task. An upcoming series provides strategies and effective communication tips to better understand and relate to the individual. Hartford HealthCare Center for Healthy Aging is sponsoring the free five-part series, “Dementia and Caregiving: Focusing on the Person while Understanding the Disease Progression,” on Tuesdays, Aug. 22 to Oct. 3, 6 to 7:30 p.m., at Berlin-Peck Memorial Library, 234 Kensington Road.
To best benefit, participants are asked to attend all sessions. Hartford HealthCare Center for Healthy Aging dementia and Alzheimer’s specialists Patty O’Brian, CDP, and Michelle Wyman, LSW, CDP, will lead the series.
