Deodorant Theft Escalates into $25,000 Bond in Southington
The Arrest of a Bristol man took place at a Southington supermarket.

SOUTHIGTON, CT — A shoplifting case escalated into a series of charges for a Bristol Man over the weekend, police said.
On Saturday at approximately 1 p.m. Southington Police were dispatched to Shop Rite, 750
Queen St., after a loss-prevention associate caught a male allegedly stealing various deodorant
products totaling $53.61, police said.

The suspect, 29-year-old Shane Wilson, of Bristol, suspect was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia, police said. He initially provided a false name, police said.
Wilson was charged with sixth-degree larceny, possession of drug paraphernalia, interfering with an
officer and criminal impersonation., police said.

He was held over the weekend pending a $5,000 bond and scheduled to appear in
Bristol Court on Monday.
It was also discovered during the fingerprinting process that Wilson had an outstanding extraditable
warrant for his arrest out of the state of New York for violating his parole, police said. He was held on an additional $25,000 bond, police said.
