Donate Furniture To Those In Need: Southington Now In Pickup Area

For Goodness Sake, a nonprofit that provides furniture to people coming out of homelessness, now picks up furniture from 15 CT towns

For Goodness Sake will now be picking up donated furniture in an expanded area, including: Avon; Berlin; Bristol; Burlington; Cheshire; Cromwell; Farmington; Meriden; Middletown; New Britain; Newington; Plainville; Plantsville; Southington; and West Hartford.

For Goodness Sake is a local 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides donated furniture and household goods to individuals and families struggling with homelessness, poverty, and other severe life challenges. Clients include people moving into their first apartment from being on the streets, families moving out of homeless shelters, victims of domestic violence, homeless veterans, and people that are homeless and in need of support for a variety of other reasons.

To schedule a furniture pickup, people can go to www.forgoodnessake.org and fill out the Furniture Pickup Request Form. People can also drop off furniture donations at For Goodness Sake’s warehouse at 123 Whiting Street, Unit A, Plainville, on Saturdays from 9 am to 1 pm or Sundays from noon to 3 pm.
