Douglas DuPont, owner of Connecticut’s leading appliance and fireplace distributor, CT Appliance and Fireplace Distributors (CAFD), has announced the appointment of Andrea Salzillo as new General Manager and Sisto Salzillo as new Operations Manager at CAFD.
“After over 50 years of dedication to my work and profession, it is time to begin to move aside, and hand over the daily business responsibilities to new leaders,” said Doug DuPont, who has owned and managed CAFD since 1997. “This is a natural transition and progression of our company business management and leadership.”
For the last sixteen years, Andrea Salzillo, who is Doug DuPont’s daughter, has worked in purchasing and business management at CAFD.

“I grew up in Southington,” said Andrea. “I graduated from Southington High School, and Sisto and I have been living here for 15 years. Our son attended local schools and he graduated from SHS as well. We are invested in our community.”
The Salzillo's just celebrated their 25th Wedding Anniversary on April 1st. Their son, Joseph, attends the University of Rhode Island and is majoring in Chemical Engineering.

Sisto Salzillo has more than twenty years of experience in kitchen design and sales. Before joining CAFD, Salzillo worked in construction as well as in design and sales with cabinet maker Sanson Inc. At CAFD, Sisto has built long term relationships with area builders and remodelers, and he has distinguished himself in field sales of hearth products, including: gas and wood fireplaces, stoves, inserts and outdoor grills.
“Andrea’s and Sisto’s continued dedication to their responsibilities, and their many years of experience in our business, makes my decision to appoint them the new leaders of our company a very easy one for me,” said Doug DuPont.
Mr. DuPont will continue to maintain legal ownership and his managing member status, while still working on CAFD business and marketing on a limited basis.
