Drugs in a Backpack Lead to Charges Against Southington Man
The man had several other outstanding warrants.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — Drugs in a backpack have led to charges against a Southington man, police said.
On Wednesday, Ethan Manyak, 22, of Southington, was arrested on an outstanding warrant held by
the Southington Police Department charging him with possession of narcotics and possession of drug
paraphernalia, police said.

The warrant stemmed from an incident in July, when police recovered a backpack owned by Manyak that contained drugs and drug paraphernalia, according to a report.
Manyak was held on a $20,000 bond and was to appear in court on Thursday, police said.

Manyak was also found to have a warrant for violating probation, police said. He was assigned a $25,000 bond for that charge, police said. Two active warrants for failure to appear in court tacked on $10,000 bonds for those charges, police said.
