Dry needling may help muscle pain
A free program about dry needling will be held Thursday, June 28, 3 p.m., at West Hartford Senior Center.

WEST HARTFORD – People who suffer from painful or tender muscles may have heard about “dry needling” but don’t know what it is. A free program about this topic will be held Thursday, June 28, 3 p.m., at West Hartford Senior Center, 15 Starkel Road. Discussion will include trigger points, irritable, hard ‘knots’ within a muscle that may cause pain over a large area, leading to difficulty performing everyday tasks. Dry needling is a treatment approach that releases the tight muscle bands and can lead to decreased pain and improve function. Presenter will be Matt Reynolds, PT, Hartford Hospital Rehabilitation Network, which is sponsoring the program.
Seating is limited and registration is required. To RSVP, call West Hartford Senior Center, 860.561.7583.
