Dry needling program explains how technique may help muscle pain
Free program Nov. 8, 3:30p, Plainville Senior Center. Learn more about trigger points, muscle knots and dry needling. RSVP to 860.747.5728

PLAINVILLE – People who suffer from painful or tender muscles may have heard about “dry needling” but don’t know what it is. A free program about this topic will be held Thursday, Nov. 8, 3:30 p.m., at Plainville Senior Center, 200 East St. Discussion will include trigger points and more about the irritable, hard ‘knots’ within a muscle that may cause pain over a large area, leading to difficulty performing everyday tasks. Dry needling is a treatment approach that releases the tight muscle bands and can lead to decreased pain and improve function. Presenter will be Matt Reynolds, PT, of the Center for Musculoskeletal Health at the Hartford HealthCare Bone & Joint Institute, which is sponsoring the program.
Seating is limited and registration is required. To RSVP, call Plainville Senior Center, 860.747.5728.
