Enjoy A Beer, Help Southington Firefighters
The Southington Fire Department's firefighter union is hosting a fundraising benefit at a local brewery on Sunday.
SOUTHINGTON, CT — The union representing Southington Fire Department firefighters is hosting a special fund-raiser this weekent to raise money for union activities.
And the star of the show is something many will probably like — beer.
Southington Firefighters Local 233 is hosting a special "beer release party" at the Witch Doctor Brewing Co., 168 Center St., Southington.

The event is Sunday, Oct. 1, from 6 to 10 p.m. and the $25 donations gain participants all sorts of fun stuff, including a full pour of whatever beer they'd like and a tasting of some home brews fby Southington firefighters.
In addition, there will be live music, raffle baskets, local vendors, Local 2033 merchandise and a silent auction for an antique firebox from the SFD.
