A day after a bomb threat was reported at Southington High School, staff and students will find extra police on patrol at the school Tuesday, NBC Connecticut reports.

School officials say extra police will patrol the area Tuesday as a precaution.

According to police, the threat was made around 2 p.m. via the social media website “Yik Yak”. The building was evacuated and all students were dismissed early and all after school activities were cancelled.

According to police the message, posted around 8:30 a.m. on Monday, threatened to set off bombs on Monday and half the day on Tuesday, NBC Connecticut reports.

No explosives were found during the search. At one point, a bag considered suspicious was found in the Agricultural Science building in room A106, but it just contained clothing, NBC reports.
