Roso was in the cruiser struck during the May 30 accident, but was uninjured. He is retiring.

SOUTHINGTON, CT —One day after laying to rest one of their own who was killed in the line of duty, state police announced the retirement of his canine partner.
But, according to Connecticut State Police Lt. Anthony Cristy, K-9 officer and Trooper First Class Aaron Pelletier's partner, Roso, will not be far from the loved ones mourning.

Roso had become part of the Pelletier family as police dogs traditionally stay with their human partners. Pelletier left behind a wife, Dominique Pelletier, and two young sons, Troy and Zach.
Roso was also in Pelletier's cruiser at the time of the accident. Despite the cruiser being struck by the suspect, Roso was uninjured.
