Family-Run Furniture Store To Close In Southington: Reports
The store has been in the same family for nearly 100 years.
SOUTHINGTON, CT — A family-run furniture store that has been a fixture in Southington for nearly a century is closing, according to multiple reports.
In business since 1926, the owners of DePaolo Home Furnishing have announced their impending retirement and store closure, with the target date being sometime in May, WVIT Channel 30 reported.
According to WVIT, the front of the store — located on Center Street — has signs indicating a closeout sale is underway.

The Bristol Press reports the store is currently owned by the brother-sister team of Pamela and Val DePaolo, who've been running the store since the 1980s.
It was founded by the DePaolos' grandparents and has been in the family ever since, the Bristol Press reported.
