Federal Drug Charges Filed in Southington Overdose Case
Local and federal law enforcement agencies investigated the case.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — A Bristol man has been charged in connection with a springtime drug overdose in Southington, police said.
On Wednesday the Southington Police Department’s Special Investigations Unit and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency took Roger Tuscano, 47, of Bristol, into custody without incident at a residence in Bristol, according to a report.
Tuscano’s arrest came after a five-month investigation into an apparent drug overdose involving a Southington resident in April, according to a report.

The resident was discovered unresponsive inside a house along with packaged heroin and related drug paraphernalia, according to a report.

Investigators said Tuscano allegedly supplied the heroin to the victim shortly before her death, according to a police report.
The DEA secured an arrest warrant for Tuscano on Federal Drug charges, according to a report.
Tuscano was charged with the distribution of a mixture and substance containing a detectable amount of heroin and was released on a $100,000 bond into an inpatient drug treatment program, police said.
