Fiddlers bring old ‘tyme’ music to First Baptist Church

Bristol Olde Tyme Fiddlers bring old "tyme" music to First Baptist Church on Feb. 24

SOUTHINGTON – The Bristol Olde Tyme Fiddlers return to First Baptist Church of Southington, 581 Meriden Ave., on Saturday, Feb. 24, at 7 p.m. This dynamic group of musicians, whose ages range from 13 to 92, play fiddle, guitar, piano, banjo, mandolin, harmonica, accordion and much more. For more than 40 years, the Bristol Olde Tyme Fiddlers, under the direction of Gerry Legace, have charmed audiences with their group and solo playing of “toe-tappin and foot stompin’” American favorites by ear. A meet and greet will be held following the performance with light refreshments. A freewill donation will be accepted. The public is welcome. For more information, call the church office at 860-628-8121.
