Update: Burning Mulch Brings FD to Southington Starbucks

SOUTHINGTON, CT — Local responders were called to a Starbucks coffee shop this morning for a reported fire that ended up not being in the building, but outside.

According to the Southington Fire Department's emergency paging system's Twitter feed, the call was for the 613 Queen St. location, which isn't far from Interstate 84.

The paging system indicated the first calls for the fire were at about 7:14 a.m. Monday.

At about 7:40 a.m., a spokesperson for the SFD described the situation as a "small mulch fire" outside the actual structure.
