First Baptist Church's ice cream and fritters fundraiser features silent auction

SOUTHINGTON – Ice cream sundaes and fresh hot fritters are on the menu at First Baptist Church of Southington on Saturday, Sept. 23 for a fundraiser open to the public. The event, which will also feature a silent auction, will be held 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the church, located at 581 Meriden Ave. This fundraiser benefits church mission opportunities.

Various businesses and individuals have donated gift cards and items for themed gift baskets in the silent auction. Ice cream sundaes – featuring multiple toppings and sauces – are $5 each, fritters are $5 per half-dozen. Children age 3 and under are free. There will also be non-dairy and sugar-free options.
