Focused Awareness Meditation may reduce stress and anxiety

PLAINVILLE – A simple five-step technique known as Focused Awareness Meditation can help individuals feel more relaxed, focused and calm by bridging the mind, body and spirit. A free program about this topic will be held Thursday, Aug. 10, 10 a.m., at Plainville Senior Center, 200 East St. Facilitator will be by Ann Minor, RN-BC, HN-BC, holistic nurse and meditation specialist, Hartford HealthCare Senior Services. Participants are asked to bring a large towel or a small blanket for proper positioning in their chair. This event is sponsored by Hartford HealthCare Senior Services.
