Free health fair features information and screenings for seniors
Senior health fair, older adults, screenings, healthcare information, glucose, blood pressure, cholesterol, Hartford HealthCare
The Southington Senior Health Fair will be held Wednesday, Sept. 14, 9 to
11:30 a.m., featuring demonstrations and experts in the healthcare field. This
free event will be held at Calendar House, 388 Pleasant St.
In addition to exhibits and the opportunity to talk with medical professionals, free screenings will be offered including balance, blood pressure, memory, blood glucose and cholesterol. Pre-registration is required for blood glucose and/or cholesterol screenings by calling Calendar House, 860.621.3014. Screenings are provided by the Hospital of Central Connecticut and the Hartford HealthCare Center for Healthy Aging. Attendees can also bring their medications in a “brown bag” to have them reviewed by a pharmacist.
