Free program focuses on stomach acid prevention and treatment

WALLINGFORD – Acid reflux can cause a burning sensation which many people experience regularly yet don’t know how it can be prevented or managed. A free program, “Do You Think You Have Stomach Acid?” will be held Tuesday, June 18, 10 a.m., at Wallingford Senior Center, 238 Washington St. Program will include natural ways to prevent heartburn and medications that can help - or worsen -stomach acid.
Presenters will be Sean Jeffery, PharmD, CGP, FASCP, FNAP, AGSF, and Christina Polomoff, PharmD, BCACP, BCGP, both pharmacists at Hartford HealthCare Integrated Care Partners and clinical professors at University of Connecticut School of Pharmacy. Hartford HealthCare Senior Services is sponsoring the program.
