The Fundamentals of Adult Day Centers

MERIDEN – As people age, there comes a time when they may need supervision because of safety issues, is alone much of the day or needs social, emotional and medical support. An adult day center could be the perfect solution for the individual and families.

The free program, What are Adult Day Centers Really About, will be offered Monday, Aug. 21, 10:30 a.m., at Meriden Senior Center, 22 W. Main St. Facilitator Jo-Ann Doner, LPN, director of Mulberry Gardens’ adult day centers, will be sharing information on what the programs can provide, who they help and more. This event is sponsored by Hartford HealthCare Senior Services.
