Geno Auriemma's Restaurant Closes in Southington

A sign on the establishment rendered no explanation for Geno's Grille closing in Southington.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — A culinary business venture of University of Connecticut women's basketball coach Geno Auriemma has closed in Southington, according to a sign on the establishment.

“Geno’s Grille will be closed effective immediately,” the sign says. “We thank the town of Southington and all of our loyal patrons.”

The restaurant was open for about three years.

There is also a Geno's Grille in Storrs Center, across from the UConn campus.
