Girl Thanks Southington Firefighters for Their Efforts

SOUTHINGTON, CT - A girl who witnessed a Wednesday afternoon house fire on High Street was so impressed with Southington firefighters, she decided to formally thank them.

The fire broke out Wednesday afternoon at 24 High St. TheRecord-Journal reported that the girl was down the road at the YMCA and was evacuated while the scene was active.

On Friday afternoon, she went to fire headquarters on North Main Street with ice cream bars, according to the R-J story.
