GoFundMe Started for Family of Two Affected by Southington Fire
The mother and her 14-year-old son lost almost all their possessions.

A GoFundMe has been started for the residents who were displaced by a fire on Church Street Wednesday night.
A mother and her 14-year-old son lost all their posessions except for the clothes on their backs, according to the GoFundMe page.
So far the fund has raised $1,400 for the two.

The occupants were Jennifer Teper and son Samuel, according to the Record-Journal.
Teper said she helped get her neighbor’s elderly mother out of the house. She said that she is deeply touched by people’s generosity.

“Thank you so much everyone,” she wrote on GoFundMe. “I am so overwhelmed by the generosity and kindness. I cannot even begin to express how much it means to me and to my son.”
