Groovy Baby! Southington Library To Showcase Austin Powers

Local teens and their parents looking for a way to beat the summer heat Monday might want to visit the Southington Public Library Monday.

That's because the library's regular "Drop-in Teen Movie" will be showcasing the 1997 comedy classic "Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery."

The goofy British secret agent portrayed by Mike Myers created a pop culture sensation in the late 1990s and early 2000s, with local teens invited to see what made their older relatives laugh so much.

Show time is 1 p.m. at the library, located at 255 Main St., in Southington. The popcorn is hot and fresh ... and free.

The movie is PG-13, meaning teens over 13 will likely enjoy the comedy classic.
