Hartford HealthCare Center for Healthy Aging Welcomes New Hire
Serving the New Haven and Middlesex counties, the Center for Healthy Aging welcomes a new dementia specialist to the team.

Hartford HealthCare Center for Healthy Aging welcomes new hire Angela Christie, CADDCT, dementia specialist. Hartford HealthCare Center for Healthy Aging has 13 sites across Connecticut and is a resource and assessment center designed to enhance access to services and information related to attaining optimal quality of life for seniors and their caregivers.
Christie is a certified dementia practitioner and Alzheimer’s Association habilitation trainer who has over 40 years of experience in her line of work. She is expected to receive her Masters of Science in the fall of 2022 in dementia studies from the University of Hull, United Kingdom.
Before her path with Hartford HealthCare, she formally was the Director of Operations at Masonicare, where she monitored daily activities with infection prevention goals and collected data, planned staff development training to new talent, addressed residential behavioral and emotional needs and developed best practices from memory care.

“I am extremely grateful to be afforded this opportunity,” Christie said.
In her new role, she will be covering the New Haven and Middlesex counties. Christie will offer to the community free dementia support and resources to individuals and their families. This includes providing strategic personalized dementia consultations, assisting with cognitive screenings and creating and implementing individualized dementia care plans based on assessments. She will provide group and individual training to connect her clients with community resources to help care for a loved one suffering from dementia.
