Hartford HealthCare Center for Healthy Aging Offers Five Week Dementia & Caregiving Series Starting October 1st

Southington, CT – Are you caring for someone with dementia? Hartford HealthCare Center for Healthy Aging is offering a free five-week educational series, "Dementia & Caregiving: Focusing on the Person While Understanding the Disease Progression," designed to provide caregivers with vital information and support.

The series, led by Dementia Specialist Patty O’Brian, will take place at Mulberry Gardens and begins on October 1st. Each session will offer practical tools and knowledge to help caregivers navigate the complexities of dementia care.

Participants will gain a deeper understanding of dementia, learn effective communication strategies, recognize and respond to common behaviors, and explore available resources. The sessions are designed to address the physical and emotional well-being of caregivers and offer solutions to enhance the quality of life for their loved ones.
