Free Holiday Fun For Southington Families
The annual celebration is hosted by the Southington Parks and Recreation Department.
SOUTHINGTON, CT — An old tradition in town is taking on a new twist ... and a new name, though the Christmas cheer will remain the same on Sunday.
The Southington Recreation Department is hosting its annual "Santa's Jolly Holiday" celebration at the Calendar House Senior Center, 388 Pleasant St., from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 27.
Formerly known as "Santa in the Park," this holiday celebration is for Southington families only and the event will take place indoors.

The celebration will feature a long list of festive, fun activities for children and their families, including: a visit with Santa Claus; treat bags for children; face painting; balloon creations; Christmas music; a letter-writing station to write Santa; hot cocoa and cookies; and wagon rides outside drawn by Clydesdale horses.
Admission to the event is free and all activities are free as well, making it a perfect event for the family budget.
