healthy eating, healthy aging, Hartford HealthCare, senior services, Jefferson House

BERLIN – It is no secret that as people age their bodies change and so do their nutritional needs. A free program on this topic will be held Tuesday, May 30, 1 p.m., at Berlin Senior Center, 33 Colonial Drive. Jack Hodes, director of dining services, Jefferson House, will discuss how age-related changes can affect how the body processes food, dietary needs and appetite. This program is sponsored by Jefferson House, an independent and assisted living community with memory care.

Space is limited and registration is required. To register, call Berlin Senior Center, 860.828.7006.

Jefferson House, a department of Hartford Hospital, offers short-term/outpatient rehabilitation, skilled nursing and palliative care. To learn more about Jefferson House, visit cedarmountaincommons.org and jeffersonhouse.org.
