Healthy Eating for Seniors provides easy guidelines

UNIONVILLE – People’s physical bodies change as they age and seniors have very different nutritional needs than children and younger adults. A free program, “Healthy Eating for Seniors,” about how age-related changes impact our dietary health, will be held Wednesday, Jan. 16, 1 p.m., at Farmington Senior Center, 321 New Britain Ave. Registered dietitian Kathleen Saulnier, of Jefferson House, will discuss how the body changes in how it processes food, influencing people’s dietary needs and impacting appetite. Jefferson House is sponsoring.
