SOUTHINGTON, CT — If you see a mass of police on Main Street in Southington, there's no need to worry.

According to the Southington Police Department, officers locally and those from other departments will be at 221 Main St., Southington, for a training exercise.

The SPD posted the warning Tuesday morning via social media.

"Appropriate signage has been placed in the area to advise the public," police wrote.

The address is a vacant building that is currently for lease, with commercial office space the likely use for it, according to Loopnet.

Police didn't divulge specifically what they are training for, but officers often prepare for any kind of emergency, whether it be a school incident, domestic incident or a workplace situation.
