HHC Center for Healthy Aging provides free memory screenings
Forgetful? HHC Center for Healthy Aging offers free memory screening on April 12, 10am-noon, Elmwood Senior Center, 1106 New Britain Ave.

WEST HARTFORD – As people age, it is natural to start forgetting a few things. However, sometimes it is more than just being forgetful. Confidential free memory screenings will be held Thursdays, April 12, May 10 and June 14, 10 a.m. to noon, courtesy of Hartford HealthCare Center for Healthy Aging. The screenings will be held at Elmwood Senior Center, 1106 New Britain Ave.
These screenings average 10 minutes and consist of questions and tasks to assess memory. They do not diagnose any illness, but can indicate whether someone should follow up with a full medical exam. Amina Weiland, certified dementia practitioner and resource coordinator, Hartford HealthCare Center for Healthy Aging, will conduct the screenings. Hartford HealthCare Center for Healthy Aging is sponsoring. Appointments are required. RSVP to Elmwood Senior Center, 860.561.8180.
