Home Improvement Store Employee Charged With Stealing Leaf Blower

SOUTHINGTON, CT — A home improvement store employee is facing a third-degree larceny charge for allegedly stealing a leaf blower during leaf season from his employer, police said.

Police released the details of the Nov. 29 case this week.

Michael Criniti, 44, of New Britain, allegedly stole miscellaneous plumbing supplies and a leaf blower with

a total value of $2,256.83 from a home improvement store at which he was employed, police said.

Loss prevention staffers at the store discovered the theft and contacted police.
