HomeGoods Set to Expand into Southington
The HomeGoods store in Southington is expected to open next month.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — Home décor retailer HomeGoods is set to open a new store in Southington next month, store officials said.
The grand opening locally is scheduled for Sunday, May 7, at 8 a.m., according to store officials. The 22,186-square-foot store is located in the The Village Shops at 99 Executive Boulevard.
The new Southington location will be the seventh in the Hartford market.

HomeGoods bills itself as offering a selection "in countless styles" for every room of the house.

HomeGoods officials said they plan to hire locals for store management and associate positions. The Southington store is expected to use about 65 full and part-time positions, officials said.
HomeGoods merchandise departments include furniture, rugs, lighting, decorative accessories, gourmet kitchen and dining, bedding, bath, kid’s décor and toys, outdoor living, pet accessories, storage and workspace.
Regular store hours will be Monday through Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.; Sunday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
