Ice Safe For Skating/Hockey/Fishing: Southington Rec
The Town of Southington this week said the ice at two prominent, town parks is now safe enough to skate/fish.
SOUTHINGTON, CT — The local recreation department said this week the ice in town is safe enough to skate and/or ice fish.
The Southington Parks and Recreation Department said ice skating and ice hockey are now permitted at Veterans Memorial Park on Woodruff Street.
Meanwhile, town recreation officials said ice fishing at Crescent Lake on Shuttle Meadow Road is now permitted.

Both town parks are open daily from sunrise to sunset and signs are posted at each location to indicate whether the ice is safe or unsafe.
The Southington Highway/Parks Department is monitoring ice conditions daily and will change the sign(s) as necessary.
