ID Of Teen, 17, Killed In Connecticut Motor Vehicle Accident Released: Report

A total of eight teens were inside the vehicle when it crashed Saturday.

PLYMOUTH, CT — Police say the victim in the early Saturday fatal accident in Plymouth, Conn. is Vincent Cammarata, 17, a Watertown High School student.

Watertown High School Principal Paul Jones told Fox 61 that, “Vinny was highly intelligent with an engaging personality, and he was definitely filled with great potential. He was interested in Science courses, and planned to study a Science-related field in college. He will certainly be missed by all who knew him.”

Counseling will be made available to students. A total of eight people were inside a motor vehicle that crashed in Plymouth just after midnight Saturday, according to NBC Connecticut. A total of eight males were inside the car that crashed at the intersection of Town Hill and Cross roads.

The eight males all were between 16 and 18 years-old, according to reports. Four people were taken to the hospital with serious injuries, NBC Connecticut reports. Two teens fled on foot initially but were later found by police.

A resident reported the crash at 12:23 a.m. after hearing a loud noise, Fox 61 reports. A LifeStar helicopter transported the 17-year-old to the hospital where he would die as a result of injuries sustained in the crash.
