The Southington Police Department is hosting a 'Coffee with a Cop' event Wednesday morning at a Southington coffee shop.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — Folks looking to meet with a police officer and not have it be over a traffic stop or criminal report can do so Wednesday, Oct. 4, at a local coffee shop.

That's because the Southington Police Department is celebrating "National Coffee With a Cop Day" at the Lions Den Coffee Shop, 57 W. Main St., Plantsville.

It will take place at 9 a.m. and continue when police are available.
