Knowing how to fall safely can prevent serious injury

Sometimes falls are unavoidable. Learn how the best tactics at a free program Thurs., April 12, 10a, Plainville Senior Center.

PLAINVILLE – Sometimes there's no way to avoid a fall. However, knowing how to fall correctly, whether forward or backwards, can reduce the risk or lessen the severity of injury. A free program, “How to Fall Safely,” will be held Thursday, April 12, 10 a.m., at Plainville Senior Center, 200 East St. Exercise physiologist Maquita Parker, of Jerome Home, will lead the program. Jerome Home is sponsoring the program.
