Last Pitch Hurled At Southington Batting Cages
The last at-bat took place over the weekend at Hidden Valley in Southington, but there will still be mini-golf.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — There is still mini-golf at Hidden Valley in Southington, but it was the end of an era over the weekend as the last plate appearance took place at the batting cages.
On Aug. 30, owners on Facebook said "with a heavy heart that we are announcing the closing of our cages." Batting practice had been available at Hidden Valley since 1981.
Hiddeen Valley had a final two days of free batting cages for all our visitors over the weekend.

This year, the last day of operations will be on Oct. 14, owners said. Starting this week, Hidden Valley is on it Fall schedule, open on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
