Learn how to prevent injury when falling at June 6 program

Free program on Thurs., June 6, 10a, Plainville Senior Center, 200 East St. Southington Care Center presents. RSVP to 860.747.5728.

PLAINVILLE – As people age, it can become more difficult to maintain balance and falls can become more common, leading to serious injury and further complications. However, knowing how to fall the correct way forwards or backwards, to do it safely, can reduce the risk or lessen the severity of injury. A free program, “How to Fall Safely,” will be held Thursday, June 6, 10 a.m., at Plainville Senior Center, 200 East St. Presenter will be Lisa Murawski, exercise physiologist, of GoodLife Fitness at Southington Care Center, program sponsor.
