Each winter, thousands of people visit hospital emergency rooms with injuries because they slipped on ice and snow. Hartford HealthCare Senior Services is offering two free programs about this topic in two different locations on Wednesday, Dec. 5.
“Staying on Your Feet on Ice and Snow,” will be held Wednesday, Dec. 5, 10:30 a.m., at Bristol Senior Center, 240 Stafford Ave. in Bristol. Presenter Christine Solimini-Swift, GoodLife Fitness exercise physiologist at The Orchards at Southington, will provide some basic tips to make walking safer during the colder months. The second program will be held at 1 p.m. at Berlin Senior Center, 33 Colonial Drive, Berlin.
