Local Youth Nonprofit Donates To Southington Food Pantry
Proceeds from the organization's recent gift will help stock the shelves of the pantry, which serves food-insecure folks locally.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — Thanks to a locally based, youth-oriented nonprofit, the Southington Food Pantry's shelves will stay stocked just a bit longer.
Southington Community Services recently announced that the Southington chapter of the Power of Peace Group donated $1,000 to the department.
The money, specifically, is for helping to stock the department's food pantry.

The Southington Food Pantry, based out of the community services office at the town's community center, provides food to those suffering from food insecurity.
Southington Community Services said the Power of Peace Group is a longtime supporter of the department and food pantry.

"POP group has been very supportive of our food pantry and many of our programs through the years," wrote Southington Community Services.
"This donation will go a long way in ensuring that we can continue to provide a quality of quality food items to Southington residents."
